Amber-Rose Hawkins is a pediatric nurse practitioner, writer, and educator whose work explores self-reclamation, presence, healing, and the transformative power of embodied awareness. With more than 17 years in nursing and 6 years as a pediatric nurse practitioner, she draws on clinical experience caring for children and families, which deeply informs the compassion and emotional depth present in her writing. In addition to her work in the United States, Hawkins has participated in global medical mission work serving communities in Honduras, Haiti, the Philippines, and regions of Africa-experiences that further shaped her understanding of resilience, suffering, and human connection. She also serves as an adjunct nursing professor, mentoring future healthcare professionals through both clinical knowledge and compassionate care.Her debut memoir, Between Breath and Bone, weaves literary prose and poetry to explore the intersections of divorce, childhood trauma, identity, womanhood, and personal awakening.
